You can pay with Maxa Contactless on all websites where you see the Maxa payment button.
Which cards can I use?
The accepted cards depend on the merchant. The logos are displayed at the bottom of the Maxa app screen.
Can I use my Apple Pay, Google Pay, or wearables like iWatch and Fitbit with Maxa?
Yes, you can.
On which part of my phone should I tap the card?
Tap your card on the back of the phone where the NFC antenna is usually located. When the phone detects your card, it will vibrate once and the Maxa logo turns green. If the phone vibrates twice, it has lost the connection with your card, and you should try again.
Can I use my digital wallet on my phone with Maxa?
No, Maxa Contactless can’t be used with a mobile wallet on the same phone. However, if the mobile wallet is on another phone, you can tap the ‘wallet phone’ on the back of the device running Maxa Contactless.
Can I enter the amount to be paid?
No, the amount to be paid always comes from the online shop.
What if the price is above the limit of contactless cards?
You can authorize high-value payments with the card’s PIN number or by using a digital wallet on another phone with a PIN code or biometric authentication.
Why is a PIN sometimes asked for even if the amount is below the contactless limit?
Your bank can sometimes require Strong Customer Authentication to ensure it is you making the payment. This is for your protection.
I’m an online merchant, how can I get Maxa on my website?

Can the online shop steal my card number when I’m using Maxa Contactless?
No. The merchant and Maxa will not see or store any of your card data. The card information is immediately encrypted and transmitted to the bank’s card payment processing. Using Maxa Contactless is as secure as contactless payments at a point of sale.
Could someone make payments using my contactless card in my pocket or handbag?
No, they would need your card’s PIN to use it. Ensure you never expose the PIN to anyone when entering it on the PIN pad.
